ISO 14001:2004 Certification
o2o is registered to the environmental management system standard - ISO 14001:2004. To achieve this standard, o2o implemented a wide range of initiatives to specifically address the following core aspect of its business: – the sourcing, procurement, sale and supply of a standard range of office supplies. The Company will continue to improve its environmental standards and has set performance objectives and targets, linking into the three commitments in the ISO 14001:2004 standard; prevention of pollution, continual improvement and environmental legislative compliance.
Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE)
o2o was awarded a major commendation for its Globe and Tick™range of office products. The major commendation was awarded to o2o at The Lincoln Centre, London, 5th June 2007, by Sir Anthony Cleaver, President of the BCE Environmental Leadership Awards.
The major commendation recognised o2o's dedication to carrying out detailed life-cycle assessments on products deemed to have an environmental benefit including investigating the environmental credentials of each supplier. A set of criteria was developed for each product category along with a fair marking scheme to identify environmentally preferred ranges.
The (BCE) Environmental Leadership Awards are the longest running and one of the most prestigious environmental awards in the UK. They provide a unique opportunity for any business to demonstrate clearly that corporate responsibility is an integral part of their organisation.
